Forum Registration

Everyone is welcome to participate at Wings Of Valor. You are free to visit the entire site but if you wish to post in the forum, you must first register.  To register, click the "register" link in the upper right corner of of the first page of the forum. When filling out the registration information, you must have a valid email address.

Once you have submitted the registration information, an email will automatically be sent to the WOV Administrator. Once your registration is approved (usually less than 24 hours), you will be sent your password via email. You may keep this password or change it by reviewing and then modifying your profile.

For your information:

•  Each new member's information will be reviewed.
•  Your email address must be valid in order to receive your password.
•  All IPs are logged and visible to the Administrators.

Flame Wars and Other Nonsense

There is no desire to sanitize the forum but there are some boundaries that should be noted.

No blantant attacks or accusations

If you have a beef with a member of a squad, your first stop should be the squad forum and/or the squad CO or other senior member. Thrashing around here is generally unproductive. If that doesn't get you satisfaction or they are not a member of a squad and you want to bring it here, please do it sensibly. Don't do it if all you are after is an argument or a heated exchange. Make sure you can back up your issue. Have some point to bring it up at all.

No Name Calling

Why is it even necessary to mention this.

No Veiled Innuendo

That just insults my intelligence. Just because you leave the name out doesn't mean the post is any less appropriate.

Is is Relevant?

If you are grousing over something that happened months or years ago that has no present relevance, why stir up the issue. If it pertains to a pilot that may or may not have done something in the past yet there have been no present occurrences that you are sure of, it is unnecessarily inflammatory.

Is is Inflammatory?

Hence the term "flame." It is a waste of bandwidth if all your post will do is to get someone ticked off and start an emotional exchange.

Posting of Cheat/Hack Information

The posting of links to websites, instructions, files, etc. that pertain to cheating, hacking or otherwise creating an unfair advantage in Red Baron is strictly prohibited.

• Do not post URLs where hack or cheat information can be found.
• Do not post instructions on how to defeat the design of the original game in order to create an unfair advantage.
• Do not offer to privately provide this type of information via email or other means.

As far as WOV is concerned, any violation of this policy is done because the poster advocates and practices cheating.  Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal of your WOV account.

Linking To Wings Of Valor

You are most welcome to link to the home page through the domain name. (www.wings-of-valor.net) Permission is freely granted so you don't have to ask. You are also free to use the logo graphic that is on the home page for an icon.

You are also freely granted permission to DIRECTLY link to all files on WOV. This means the files themselves, not the files page. In this way, you can design your site and have your own download section but the files do not have to actually reside on your host server.

Please do not link to the files page or the links page or any other page on WOV. If the site and these pages change, then it will mess up your site.
